    Hi,

This is a great case. I have seen spinal osteochondromas in humans, just not with this degree of cord compression.

When these undergo malignant transformation (which is unusual, < 1%) in humans, they very typically transform into chondrosarcomas and only very rarely into osteosarcomas. This is in contradistinction to the discussion in this case.

Once again, thanks so much for sharing a great case!

    Respectfully,

    Dr. Brian Sabb
