Today’s case is a 1-year-old female neutered domestic short hair cat who was seen eating a spool of thread two days ago. She is now vomiting.
WIthin the abdomen, there is plication and bunching of the small intestine. There are unusual gas bubbles within the small intestine that form crescent and paisley shapes. There is also a small amount of soft tissue opacity material in the stomach.
The string in the small intestine was removed with multiple enterotomies.
