GoPubMed – a new search interface

August 7, 2007 By Allison Zwingenberger

Here’s an interesting new search engine that integrates gene ontology (Go) with PubMed and MESH terms. More of us might be looking into genetic research, so it’s a good resource to know about. I really liked the left sidebar with MESH terms so that you can filter your results. I was able to type in “osteosarcoma” (19,707 citations), then go to the MESH heirarchy and click on organism, and then dog. That brought up 17 recent articles about osteosarcoma in dogs. If you’re not sure of a key word, this is a great way to browse.
