5 year old Doberman

Today’s’s case is a 5-year-old Doberman with a history of lethargy and leukocytosis. Take a look at the abdominal radiographs and post your interpretations.

Findings

There is a large, poorly defined soft tissue opacity in the caudoventral abdomen that is causing a mass effect, displacing the colon dorsally. The peritoneal detail is poor in the caudal abdomen, with a mottled appearance.The bladder is not clearly visualized despite the fat collected cranial to the pelvis.

  • The paraprostatic cyst was surgically removed.
