10 year old German Shepherd Cross

This week’s case is a 10-year-old female neutered German Shepherd cross with anorexia and lethargy. Have a look and post your comments and interpretations.

Findings

There is a large soft tissue opacity mass in the right cranial abdomen which is causing craniodorsal displacement of the stomach. The head and tail of the spleen are visualized and a definitive connection with the mass cannot be identified. There is a small amount of mineral sediment in the region of the pylorus. There is slight corrugation of the colon which appears fluid filled distally.

Large right cranial abdominal mass. Possible organs of origin include the pancreas, a pedunculated mass of the liver, the body of the spleen or mesenteric root / lymph node.
