This week we have an 8 month old female neutered Labrador Retriever with hind limb lameness. Take a look at the case and post your comments.

• see a little bone chip thing on the distal patella in the joint space ..
• little more fluid in the joint than I would expect in that joint compared to the left
traumatic jnt dz? ..

There is a lucency associated with the right lateral femoral condyle, with a free bone fragment in the joint. Looks like OCD

fluid and bone fragment on patella

Very nice,

I believe this is clasic example for an OCD lesion due to
Age of patient
Location of radiolucent area (medial condile) seen easily on AP.
Presence of bone fragment seen on lateral view.
The contralateral ( left ) medial condyle appears flatter but it does not have a radiolucent area.

Thank you very much for this case It will help me a lot

I meant the medial condyle of course

Indeed, this is a classic. The medial femoral condyle is a site of predisposition for OCD, and since its is so often bilateral, you should also radiograph the other hind limb. Check the answers in the case on Monday to see an intraoperativ image!

I agree. And the medial epicondyle margins seem irregular.
